  6.   With this File please find my Translation of LDPRO_1.PRG there are still
  7.   a few bits of German embedded in the Programme but I have been unable to
  8.   get them to come up on screen. If you get any German to show up please
  9.   let Steve Delaney at Floppyshop know WHAT comes up and the CIRCUMSTANCES
  10.   and I will try to duplicate this and then translate it.
  11.                                                          The English is a
  12.   bit stilted in places but this is due to the restrictions of the Original
  13.   German string length and a bit un-avoidable!
  14.                   In a few places I have replaced the original German with
  15.   NEW English instructions where the German was either wrong or NOT
  16.   sufficiently helpful. I have only tried the .PRG out in MONO from Floppy
  17.   Disc.
  18.                   The INTRO Screen with the "Little Boy" and the Screen
  19.   Labled "AUFHELLEN" with "Stufe 1,to Stufe 6" are Graphic Objects and I
  20.   have NOT been able to deal with these yet.

  22.   **** NOTE ****    I have not tested the Programme throughly but I did
  23.                     get BOMBs on a number of occasions or it would LOCK
  24.                     UP. So I suggest you CHECK IT OUT well before you
  25.                     produce your masterpiece with it!!

  27.     [ My system is a 4Mb STE MONO with 16MHz CPU and 2 Floppy Drives ]

  29.   *** PROBLEMS I DID FIND ******

  31.           DESK .ACCs          Although you CAN access .ACCs I had some
  32.                               where this was NOT done cleanly - the screen
  33.                               "Messed Up" on Exiting. Again you need to
  34.                               CHECK this out on your set up.
  35.  
  36.           IMAGE CLEANING?     The original German suggests to Clean Up
  37.                               which is endorsed by "Stufe 1" etc which
  38.                               is STAGE/STEP 1--- The only problem is that
  39.                               all I can get this to do is PUT the Stufe
  40.                               Pattern ON TOP OF the image. So I am NOT
  41.                               sure this works AT ALL??!!
  42.           BEND                I could NOT get this to even COME UP let
  43.                               alone do anything.
  44.           LDP SYSTEM INFO     In spite of ALL my Efforts TWO setting refuse
  45.                               to come up on this List - EVEN though they
  46.                               CAN be SET and seem to WORK OK!! These are;-
  47.                                       COPY MODE - Transparant  &
  48.                                  FILL ATTRIBUTE - Outline Only
  49.                               I have MARKED Both of these with the ATARI
  50.                               "Note" - Symbol as a reminder.

  52.    **** TIPS *****  If using AUTO Masking set on SOLID and you seem to get
  53.                     Transparant -- CHECK that you do NOT have a missing
  54.                     Pixel in the Outline. If you do the resulting fill will
  55.                     go INSIDE and produce a "Transparant" effect.

  57.            PRINTER  The Printer needs to be switched on and ON-LINE before
  58.                     the "Printer" section turns BLACK and is accessable.

  60.    **** THINGS I HAVE NOT CHECKED OUT ******

  62.                     I have NOT checked the Programme in Colour at all, I
  63.                     usually run in MONO.
  64.                     I have NOT checked ANY of the VARIOUS Graphic File
  65.                     Import or Export Modes except Degas & IMG which seem
  66.                     to work OK.
  67.                     I have NOT tried to LOAD any Signum Fonts yet.

  70.      I hope you will find this Translation useful, if I find any more
  71.      helpful information when I tryout the programme for myself I will
  72.      update this File.
